Path to Success
The end of the summer break brings on the pressure of school, sports, activities and just being a teen, as well as the potential to get lost while trying to find oneself. Now is a great time to get your child on track or advance them down the track with goal setting and a personal mission statement.

SMART Goals – Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound goals are important so that progress can be monitored. Kids who set SMART goals have a much better opportunity of succeeding than those who do not.
Stretch Goals – Used to get us to think big and encourage us to have a growth mindset (meaning we believe we can achieve great things and live up to our potential). Stretch goals help us to shape how we live based on what we ultimately want.
Personal Mission Statement – Finding identity is a vital part of succeeding in one’s teenage years. A personal mission statement is a powerful way for a young person to decide what is important to them and how they want to represent themselves. The better a young person knows themselves, what they want to accomplish, how they want to treat people and be viewed, the more comfortable and confident they become. When they know who they are, they are less likely to get lost trying to find themselves. |
