After a great response, we are excited to not only continue, but to grow the Captains Club. This group is open to all high school & middle school athletes (not just designated team captains) that would like to grow as leaders and followers (varsity, junior varsity or freshmen) of boys and girls teams from all of Central Oregon (including club sports). We will be hosting a middle school group as well as a high school group on Sunday, February 25th at Boss Sports Performance.
Why join the Captains Club:
• Build leadership skills.
• Be empowered to make a difference on and off the field.
• Build relationships and strong connections with student leaders from other schools.
• Be encouraged to be your best and make the most of your opportunities.
Each meeting will feature exciting guest speakers who bring insight into leading/following, performance/mindset and citizenship/sportsmanship. All athletes will have an opportunity to connect with their peers from other schools.
We’ll also have a raffle with some fun prizes. Thank you to our sponsors: Boss Sports Performance, Emerald City Smoothie, Wilson Sports, J Dub & Be Oregon.
Cam Miller will be one of our guest speakers on Sunday. Cam is a coach in Bend who just finished his career playing Division I basketball at Lipscomb University, where he went from a walk-on to a team captain on scholarship. He’ll be talking about what he wishes he had known before college.
