Josh Cordell & Dr. Rebecca Hicks
Our culture is rapidly changing all around us. As parents, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the shifting tides and ill-equipped to navigate this unfamiliar territory with our youth. Westside is hosting Parent Education Talks to provide an opportunity for parents to learn and connect together. Experts will present insights on relevant topics straight from the concerns and questions of parents and educators. Join this unique community event as we learn and support each other for the health of our children.
October Topic: Screen Time and Making Healthy Connections
Connected kids are healthier kids. Despite all the connectivity that modern technology appears to offer, we have more and more kids who feel isolated. We must help our kids find stronger, deeper, and real connections.
We have invited Dr. Rebecca Hicks to come present on the topic of Screen Time and how it is affecting our kids. Dr. Hicks has done extensive research about the effects of screen time on kids of all ages and stages. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the facts, and to get good advice on limits and boundaries. Josh Cordell, from Prep Success, will also share ideas on how to get your kids better connected with actual humans- with you, and with other healthy opportunities as well.
